P6#35 Oneness 6 Painting

Here, I want to create a composition that is made from various forms/formations that I draw and paint intuitively, which make up the elements of the monocolour abstract painting. I especially want to explore the element-space relationship using different lines, masses, maybe texture but especially light and dark values and the warm and cold tones of one colour. I aim to form a mid-value, monocolour painting with depth and transparency. I want to keep the elements and the space connected, sometimes leaving their relationship ambiguous. In other words, the space may not always be read separately. I do this on purpose to point to the inseparable connection of everything that exists with each other as well as the environment that they are in. I choose to use one colour to refer to the “oneness” of creation, that is, everything that exists comes from the same source and they all together make up one whole, yet they retain their individuality. Different forms and contours represent this individuality. Lines extending out of the canvas in an open composition are used to point to infinity: the infinity of existence.
