About The Artwork
I've been painting exclusively ocean for the last six months -- sometimes on site, sometimes in my studio, after soaking it in. I paint them on translucent mylar, a material uniquely fitting for the water's transparency. Mylar allows for different ways of presentation. It can be put in a deep box frame, pinned to the backing. It can be glued to plexiglas or a wooden panel and treated in the same way as stretched canvas.
