About Pomegranate City: “… it happens on the third week of September on the Mabon eve, when the tiny red drops of the rain turn into the fruits falling right from the Silver Moon…” Immerse yourself in the mystical world of the Pomegranate City. Experience the visual storytelling of Sydney artist and illustrator Pomegranate City "Dreams of the Pomegranate City" - is a series of paintings created as a synthesis of childhood memories, legends, traditions and turned into a poetic, mystical world. The Mystical World where the rain can fall right out of pomegranate fruit, where the snow can happen any season, where there is a city somewhere high up in the sky, where the pilgrimage is an endless journey and where the sky can easily have three moons, when one suddenly feels sad. How “Pomegranate city” was born? I let my brain extract from what I have seen and heard as a child, letting that all out on the canvas without analyzing and judgment, I was extremely surprised when the “Pomegranate City” emerged the way you see it today, I never knew that there could be snow in this city, but it snowing much more often than anywhere else, I didn’t know that it is somehow related to the paganism and tradition of the Autumn Equinox as well as I never knew that the three moons can be so simply right...
