ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This artwork is part of the 'Paint Desert' series and represents my worldview, where spaces change like paint through the depiction of an automobile using acrylic paint. For me, there is a unique world I've created for myself. It is like the fickle emotions of people, abstract and constantly changing, with no definite answers. Through the perspective of a desert, I express the anxiety and emotions of modern individuals. In this painting, the blue background and vigorous brushstrokes, along with the distant car, symbolize change and movement. The car represents the speed and freedom pursued by modern people, embodying the journey of finding direction amidst constantly shifting emotions and situations. Through this journey, my artwork conveys the psychological state of modern individuals, their feelings of confusion, and their determination to overcome these challenges. My artistic philosophy lies in the journey of discovering one's true self amid change and instability. The artwork focuses on visually expressing deep human stories, reflecting elements such as time, space, relationships, and culture, beyond mere external beauty.

Throughout my life, I have expressed myself through art. From a young age, I have been fascinated by time and speed, and as an adult, I have come to express myself through the subject of automobiles. As time has passed, my artistic focus has shifted from emphasizing the external allure of automobiles to expressing their inner strength, developing a unique style. In my current work, I depict distorted car shapes as metaphors for the modern generation’s pursuit of happiness and the self-determined paths carved out amidst intense competition. Utilizing acrylic paints, I employ a squeegee scraping technique and incorporate embroidery to create artificial straight lines, conveying notions of speed and temporal forms. This fusion of methods allows me to explore the dynamic interplay between abstraction and representation, reflecting the complexities of contemporary existence.
