Palawan Beach, Sentosa, Singapore Painting

My artistic interpretation of Palawan Beach, Sentosa Singapore. The small island off Palawan Beach, Sentosa, Singapore linked to the mainland via a small suspended walk bridge is the southern most point of continental Asia. In this 150 cm x 100 cm oil painting I have endeavoured to capture the essence of the area. The lovely green-turquoise colours in the water only fully reveal themselves on a beautiful sunny day. The tall grasses sway silently in the breeze. Gentle waves roll into the beach propelled by ships passing further out in the main channel off the coast of Sentosa. In this scene, the storm clouds are beginning to build ahead of the frequent tropical storms, so common during the wet season. The total time taken to complete this paintings was over 25 hours.
