ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The Secret Garden series was inspired by my encounter with the world of contemporary floral design. With the strong belief that floral design is a fine art in and of its own, I began to paint colorful, vivid flowers against striking monochromatic backgrounds. I believe that this approach took the delicate femininity inherent within flowers and transformed them into powerful statements--taking up space, attention, and time.
