Paper Chasing Painting

Timothy Adams, also known as REID, grew up in a small town in the suburbs of Chicago and moved to Denver in his early 20’s where he lived for 8 years. Throughout the time he spent in Chicago and Denver he found inspiration in urban milieu and street art. In Colorado he discovered the world of glass art and became an avid collector and learned the art of glass blowing. After moving to Southern California he became more dedicated to his passion for painting and explored different styles of painting. He is a self taught artist inspired by classic cartoons, couture fashion, and the works of Andy Warhol, Banksy, and many others. He enjoys working with different mediums such as antique newspaper, glitter, and vibrant colors. His body of work includes a mix of custom commissions and self-inspired pieces. He enjoys the challenge of using mixed media to showcase his vision of characters, icons, and brands in a unique and striking way.
