Acrylic and coffee are brushed, poured and allowed to stain
and soak into the canvas....similar to the techniques of the great master, Helen Frankenthaler. I allow some of the natural raw unprimed canvas to show through on the painting. The paint flows off the edges of the painting, so framing in not necessary. The depth of the canvas is 1 1/2".

There are some sections with metallic gold paint. And one area where I have applied gold mica flakes adding a texture to the canvas.

This painting can be removed from the stretchers and shipped flat outside the US. Please inquire.

Wyanne (pronounced Y-anne) has been a full-time artist for the past 30 years. Her work is in collections all over the world. In late 2013 Wyanne was diagnosed with Stage IV oral cancer. She had never smoked, and was otherwise relatively healthy. She lost her entire tongue and 66 lymph nodes. Speaking clearly has become a challenge. She takes all of her food and drink through a stomach feeding tube, but she is still cancer free. Wyanne considers the cancer a gift, pushing her to find the courage to express herself more honestly and boldly. She doesn’t waste a minute of the time she's been given, painting full time most every day.
