Party 06 Painting

As an artist you sometimes come to special business parties, this inspired me when making this work. A friend of mine had his birthday soon and he decided to give a party in Spain. Some time later I took a plane with a good girlfriend to Barcelona where he had booked a very special occasion. It was a strip joint! Together with about a hundred other people we were welcomed with champagne and tasty snacks. Then it was show time! We took a seat in the hall, an exciting music sounded and... suddenly the round stage started spinning. A man and a woman were lying on it and they were making love. As they slowly turned out of the picture, a honking sounded and a very, very fat naked woman appeared, lying on the stage, accompanied by a honking naked lilliputian. He ran around her and kept shouting "arriba - arriba" or something like that. Suddenly he dived and with a lot of screams he disappeared into the mountain of flesh. This was followed by an act with two hermaphrodites and a woman (nowadays you call them "intersex"). Well, that was also intense. My girlfriend wore a shawl and she covered her face with it, because this was all going a bit too far for her. Then the public was invited to participate. As if all this wasn't enough, sexy ladies sprayed whipped cream on their bare breasts and stepped into the audience to get licked off. My girlfriend had it. She jumped out of her chair and shouted: I can't stand this anymore, I'm leaving. An old man sitting next to her asked: why are you going? because now it's going to get really exciting. For decades I have been painting on high-quality paper with acrylic paint and light-resistant wax crayons. My works are in numerous collections, including those of the Municipal Museum in Amsterdam.
