About The Artwork

This is an abstract landscape from the Rodopa mountain. The mountain is believed to be the birth place of Orpheus - the legendary Thracian musician that was charming all living things and even stones with his harp. Nowadays in the mountain live in peace both Christians and Muslims in small villages like the one depicted here - hardly accessible on the scarps, far from the busy world - as though the time has stopped a long, long time ago.
