When I ask myself where did it come from, such a strong desire for action, speed, gesture, lightning-fast expression of an idea, I come to a conclusion that what produces those vibrations is the electrifying pleasure which I find in my work, my own temperament, the generally destabilized state of affairs and the frenzy of the present. The forlorn, restless, chaotic present and the drama of experience certainly echo throughout my work, which is based upon buzzing artistic activity, stains and splatter, intuitive and impulsive whole-body movements that drop, leak or shoot substance.
