For more than ten years, the city as an invaded and invading territory has become the central theme, the driving force and source of inspiration for my work. Streets, crosswalks, stations, subways, shopping malls become the settings for my compositions. A sea of cars locked in a meaningless dance with no way out. The suffocating grid in perfect geometric rhythm of the products in a supermarket gondola. Or the endless grid of building windows in nightscapes. Anonymous pedestrians who wander, silent in their own encapsulation, in a city that does not seem to contain them. The aggressive presence of endless shutters and closed windows. Huge walls intervened clandestinely with countless graffiti overlays. A critical look at life in big cities. These works account for the crisis and helplessness of the individual in impassive contemporary societies. They are an analysis of the circumstances of man in today's big cities. Of the existing tension between the architectural space and the human, in an unequal battle. Of the encounter and the combat between the natural and the artificial, the organic and the inorganic.
