This collection entitled ''Perception'' is all about allowing a free course of interpretation by the viewer. It offers a great amount of subtle details evoking fragility (water drips, fine wood grain lines, fog, prints of delicate fabric, etc.) in contrast with solid elements (earth, wood, steel structures, mountains, cliffs, etc.) Life will always be seen and lived according to our approach towards what is coming our way. The perceptions we allow ourselves to have will dictate how we will deal with the situations.

Born and raised on the Southshore of Montreal, Krystina Stamatopoulos is a visual and media art graduate, from Université du Québec à Montréal. Now established in Toronto, she is teaching art, dance and social studies. Krystina's work is mainly guided by her personal journey and she finds inspiration with her keen critical eye on our society. By questioning human behaviour and the various pre-conceptions of beauty in our society, her work explores the comparison between our primal human needs and modern behaviour.
