Painting drawn with a mixture of various techniques and materials. Covered by a liquid that looks like water. Liquid, as though freshly painted, her paintings are not created for a static and lacklustre existence. Water that flows perpetually and is reminiscent of Heraclitus’ concept of “Panta rhei” (Everything flows).

Antonella Maria Trapasso was born in Rome in 1965. She moved to Milan in the early nineteen-nineties, after completing a degree in Modern Literature .There, attracted by all forms of "art", she embarked on a multifaceted journey, exploring several forms of artistic and creative expression, from interior design of apartments, to fashion, to set and costume design for national network T.V. programs. In 1997 she started on an exploration of painting, first as portrait-painter, then experimenting in the abstract arts using a variety of materials, from the simplest and most humble to the most innovative and unusual, along a growing path of painting which she herself defined as "matericainteriore". In the year 2000 "Thula" came into being, the pseudonym she has used to sign all her paintings from that point forward. She currently lives and works in Milan and Rome.
