About The Artwork
This illustration created itself in a way; inspired by the colors that were mixed and spread together. The greens and rich brown spoke to me of the earth and nature and the coming of life and spring. The woman became Persephone, Goddess of the Spring in my mind. The painted surface of this artwork is 8 x 11.25 inches but it is mounted in off-white card to fit conveniently in the standard frame of 11 x 16 inches.
