Petite Belle is a series created as a beautiful small collections of artworks all evolving around beauty in all forms. It's small sensual pieces that are created and packaged as small framed and ready to display as gifts or for homes. Sometimes beautiful art doesn't have to be large and bold but instead they're like the shy quiet girl at a party you don't notice at first...but once your eyes meet - shes understatedly beautiful and you find yourself unable to take your eyes off her every again. This is what the Petite Belle was created to be, the effortless minimalist addition for spaces. Signed certificate of authenticity. This artwork comes with an external frame

Rebecca Wing Size Lam (°1985, Hong Kong, Hong Kong) is a modern minimalist artist By applying abstraction in her Wingsze tries to develop forms that do not follow logical criteria, but are based only on subjective associations and formal parallels, which incite the viewer to make new personal associations. Her drawings are usually simplified versions of her thought process pre painting. Initially they were what Rebecca describes as “Mindless Doodles”, but as her collection builds, she turns them into a large body of work on their own. The results are deconstructed to the extent that meaning is shifted and possible interpretation becomes multifaceted. With a subtle minimalistic approach, she creates work in which a fascination with the clarity of content and an uncompromising attitude towards conceptual and minimal art can be found. The work is aloof and systematic and a cool and neutral imagery is used. Her practice provides a useful set of allegorical tools for manoeuvring with a pseudo-minimalist approach in the world of drawing: these meticulously planned works resound and resonate with images culled from the fantastical realm of imagination. By choosing mainly formal solutions, she creates intense personal moments masterfully created by means of rules and omissions, acceptance and refusal, luring the viewer round and round in circles. Her works are based on formal associations which open a unique poetic vein. Multilayered images arise in which the fragility and instability of our seemingly certain reality is questioned. Rebecca Lam currently lives and works in Australia
