About The Artwork

Diptych. Edition1/7. Work is sold with artist statement and certificate of authenticity. My work allows me to investigate the power of colour and to question what technology really is. At a deeper level it is possible to say that I am questioning what it means to be human. To me what seems to be the Real inhibits us from all other kind of perception. Thus I abolished realistic representation and concentrated my attention on colours. Colour like reality is something that we all have in common but people experience it subjectively. Colour is therefore both universal and subjective and that is where its power lays. Moreover, we are living in a more and more technological world leading to a life increasingly oriented towards the selfhood. In other words, towards subjectivity. I see there the same power than in colour. Therefore my work consists of questioning that power.
