About The Artwork
With more snow this winter I was energised to paint a winter scene and the numbers of pheasants in the local area prompted this scene. There is also a pheasant that often visits the garden adding useful reference and allowing time to follow their movements without their usual disappearance through the hedge. The background of snow shows off the subtle colours of the pheasants. The panoramic effect and large canvas size also gives a sense of tranquility to the scene.
