About The Artwork
Many times in my practice I am inspired by nature and travel. Here I recreated a landscape scene of the beautiful "Pico de Orizaba", a mountain in Mexico. It's majesty is awe inspiring. When I started this painting I started with the stripes and saw how the colors reminded me of Mexican fabrics. One thing led to another and I found myself painting a Mexican scene. I have not been to Mexico but I am inspired by that beautiful land and hope to go one day!
