About The Artwork
In this painting I accomplished two things: the use of white and pink - which in my opinion is hard to combine, and to have an almost white background. I am aware that painting a tree is not a difficult task, but it is for me, when I tried to put on the canvas, an image of a tree that is only in my mind. The idea comes from observing cherry trees while I took a sabbatical from teaching in Washington, D.C., after observing, and observing the colors on the cherry trees, I became fascinated with the combination of white and pink. It is really amazing!
