A new vibrant abstract watercolor called "Pink Horizon". This painting is about light reflections on the water and about the color blue. The colors in this painting change like the light changes in nature, due to metallic pigments used. The grey looking stripes are metallic light blue stripes, but this is difficult to catch in a photo. The more it is hit by light, the more it will sparkle. As the colors are difficult to catch and show differently on the different monitors: the main colors are all shades of blue, some white and a little pink. Also, please be aware that there are little scratch marks where the horizon is. It is a common technique in watercoloring to scratch the paper with a knife to get back the white in it. Shown here in a 40x30 cm white frame example and mat, the inner size of the mat shown here is 24x19 cm. Unframed sheet of paper 30x25 cm. The painting will come UNFRAMED without mat, you can see the whole sheet as it comes exactly on the photo with the grey cutting desk pad! Comes with certificate of authenticity, signed on the back. Watercolor, metallic pigments, gouache on 300g paper, 30x25 cm. (c) Gesa Reuter 2018

Germany
Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has since studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Recently she has discovered the power of watercolours and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape." (Inside Artists, Issue 9, Summer 2017) So far, her works have been exhibited in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S.A., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collection of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
