I've been fascinated by Pitcher Plants for 25 years!! They always remind me of flowers but are classified as carnivorous plants like the Venus Flytrap. The shapes, colors, and sizes are inspiring and eventually will become a series based on these Plants.

In short, I was born in Columbia, S.C in 1968. I've been an artist the entire time. I took art lessons throughout my schooling and winning many art contests. Upon graduation I attended the University of South Carolina obtaining a B.A in studio art in 1991. After graduation I took portrait lessons from Ted Gorka.
