Kevin is a visual artist best known for his multimedia pieces, which juxtapose painterly and hard edge techniques, and for his work with anodized titanium. With electricity and acid, he changes the surface of pure titanium electrochemically. Kevin is most heavily influenced by Mark Rothko and Elsworth Kelly, and his work could be considered to be a blend of abstract expressionism and post minimalism. Kevin is certainly, however, not a post minimalist artist; he often covers every inch of every surface, including the wrapped edges of canvases. He often uses silver leaf prominently. The scale of his work is usually quite large. Kevin lives in Southern California and is currently showing his latest work at Bird Dog Arts Gallery in Mettler, California.
