ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Artist Note: I had a lot of fun painting this bird. It reminded me of my days as director for children's educational theater. We would embellish larger than life size puppets with all kinds of decorative costume frill and lace to give each a particular look. I am not sure how many feather strokes I painted on this painting, but it was a lot! I hope you enjoy. I create and paint using a variety of different art mediums such as watercolor, acrylics and colored pencils. I love floral designs and find such beauty in the color of butterflies, but really enjoy painting whatever inspires me at that time.
