ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Pokeweed is a plant that I remember playing with as a child and it still grown in our yard. The colors of the berries and the stems are a beautiful purple and magenta. Pokeweed is also rumored to have medicinal qualities, but if not prepared correctly, can be quite poisonous! For me it's a memory of childhood games and purple stained fingers. It makes an interesting late summer bouquet.
