ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The vibrancy of the red colour of the Poppy flower inspired me to paint this painting. Also I like the sense of depth this painting has since it shows the poppies in the foreground in more detail than those receding in the background. I also like the mysterious effect the trees in the background. I tried to paint this painting in a loose way in order to achieve the feeling of freedom one feels by being in a field full of poppies.

Born on the 31st August, 1981 and is from Qormi, Malta. Art is her passion! She is fascinated by colours and the harmony they bring into a composition. Oil is her favourite medium, however she loves painting with acrylic, watercolours and also with soft pastels. She derives inspiration mostly from nature. Whilst painting in her studio she prefers to work with some inspiring musical pieces by various artists namely Ludovico Einaudi which is her favourite, but also Andrea Vanzo and Hans Zimmer. This creates the perfect mood as she shuts off from the outer world and immerses herself into the magical world of art.
