Our time is subdued by the velocity, which, turning and transforming in accordance with technology maneuvers, is constantly refining that fast, as it ages. There’s not much left of the habitual forms of art, and even this is hardly comparable with a certain (though relative) structure of the previous century. Now the artist’s craft needs a theoretical presentation of postmodern outpourings full of hidden messages. But there are masters of painting workshop, to whom this fuss of innovations is relatively indifferent. For them, as it was earlier, painting is thinking with color and light, and a paint brushstroke appears to be a construction of the form. Prunk Fox a young painter, even a very young one, adherent to the traditional view of the artist’s craft, but, unlike his peers, he has already declared himself to be sufficiently skilled amongst the densely populated art circles. What makes his works look attractive? Everything is simple: extreme polychrome with a simplifying of form – the way of solving artistic problems of the past. We can observe the same sound of color among the impressionists, where the whole coloristic vision comes from. The artist has a certain passion for expressionism as well, which is hidden in the ‘guessing’ of the object under a layer of bizarre brushstrokes. All the features mentioned are the qualities of a ‘paradoxical’ look specific to unique nature, but even this is not enough to raise the talent to the rank of prominent figures of the time. Apart from attractive virtuosity, there is a specific musical sonority in his works, as if it is vibrating in a non-stop movement. This movement is taken as a basis of his ‘circular’ art objects. Gluing old advertisement posts with huge pieces of canvas, sketching urban motives, he is painting all round. And from then on, recognizable objects, thanks to this surge of frenetic picturesqueness, take on a different meaning. The artist can be considered the founder of the conceptual movement in art "Circular paintings" Circular paintings – is a metaphor for life, which reflects its ring-like trajectory: everything moves round – day is followed by night, seasons take turns as well, the circular motion of heavenly bodies across the firmament inevitably reminds of the circular motion of the Earth around the Sun. Sorrow replaces joy, making up an emotional cycle, and the recurrent nature of history has long been a topic for dissertations.
