About The Artwork
“Pretty in pink” was created (or at least started) during an afternoon paint session with my Mom and Aunt. We visited, talked, and each worked on a painting separately while sharing critiques and guidance along the way. I chose bright colors because I was feeling happy, light, and playful. I used a palette knife to create sweeping motions and blocks of color. It’s a non-objective piece so it’s more about the composition and process for me. It was satisfying to scratch the color blocks while enjoying the company of my Mom and Aunt.
