Unframed 11x14 original oil painting on hardboard panel. While hiking with the family at Dog Mountain on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge, we rewarded with this spectacular view after a challenging uphill climb. We savored the vista as we caught our breath and rested our muscles. The expanse and beauty is what I wanted to capture in this painting. Brush and palette knife were used to create this scene. Elo Wobig is an award winning landscape painter whose work is characterized by vivid color and calligraphic brush strokes of complex scenes.
