Pure Bliss Painting

My name is David Ashouri. I was born in Iran and raised there until I was 12 years of age, at which time my family moved to Israel. I am the 12th child and the youngest of Abraham and Pinina Ashouri. My family was very well respected, and also the oldest family in the community. I am a premier leader for the art conscious with discriminating taste. I am known for my artistic brilliance and sense of style and these are among my greatest gifts, which I delight in sharing with the world. My work is described as beautiful creations that never fail to mesmerize and surprise. Love is the essence of my work. Delicate and intense, simple and dappled, with a touch of bling, the play of the nuances expresses sophisticated and elegant language – at once modern yet ancient. At the tender age of 9, I knew I loved art, a canvas, and color, and would somehow find a way to share my passion with others. My father was in the fabric business and at the beginning of each new year, he took me and my 4 brothers to a tailor so that each of us would have a new suit for the year. My father would choose the fabric, color, and design of the suits for my older brothers, but knew that I would insist on making these selections for myself. I had a creative understanding of color. This was long before I started painting. I am very grateful for the many friends I have all over the world as I have had the blessing of living all over the world. Los Angeles has been my home for the past 30 years and I currently live next to the peaceful ocean and mountains. For me, life is all about the harmony of peace, and love. Without that, I cannot create my art. I love to use acrylic because for me it has a lighter touch and the slip gives it flow. My beautiful treasures are for those who appreciate art and love expressing themselves authentically through impressive pieces adorning one's home or workspace. For me, creating stunning pieces of art has been a lifelong passion and a gift I enjoy sharing with all. My creations are simply chic and elegant; a unique addition to any space.
