About The Artwork

When I think of a particular work of art that I create and later go through it - Something very interesting that always happens. I go back and think, "What inspired this?" Sometimes I get the answers immediately sometimes after much effort. This one, undoubtedly was created when my mind was in a total dilemma - "to be or not to be..." and after painting this I found my answer. Am sure all of us, in life come across that big question and for those I created this painting and for me. This would be a beautiful piece of work to be kept in a special corner of your home or office. I hope your questions find the answers!

As a child I always loved colors, as an adult I started giving it a meaning – By paining different moods, expressions, thoughts and the dilemmas of human mind and emotions! When I look back at the paintings I made as a kid, I feel I was a different person then – Isn’t it true for all of us? Don’t we feel that, “Once, we have been there?” I paint because I feel “Painting is freedom”; “It makes me alive”. Sometimes a canvas says much more than what words can express. There are of course various mediums to express yourself, however, the way paintings translate your inner voice is truly amazing because you feel lighter showing a bit of your soul to the outside world. It’s a connection just like writing poetry – You write because there is something inside you that urges you to write, same way there is something buried in the subconscious that struggles hard to come out – the medium can be anything and it depends on you, which one you embrace and choose. What/who inspired the work? I don’t have a plan, when I hold a brush. I just want to flow with my thoughts and am surprised sometimes to look at the outcome and I hope you too would be :) Remember, as kids how we used to see forms in the cloud randomly and even today we see it when we look at the sky. I used to see herd of sheep, ice-creams, peacocks and many other forms in the cloud. I saw clouds walking, running, falling and so on. Sometimes I feel the same way while painting, I see images in my mind and follow my heart. What do I hope the viewers will feel/think? For me, what's important is the connection. Viewers, am sure will empathize and relate to the paintings that I create. Moreover, human emotions are same everywhere - in every language and sometimes even without a language. Why have I chosen painting as a medium? We should always choose the medium that we feel is the best for us to express. Some people write, some dance, some sing and the same way, I have chosen "Painting".
