Kristin Ruscher is a professional mixed media artist based in Dallas, Texas. Kristin is a self-taught artist with an MBA and prior leadership career in product innovation, brand, and marketing. From a very young age, art has served as an essential tool to more deeply connect to herself, others, and the world around her. Kristin draws her artistic inspiration from travel, culture, fashion, nostalgia, and words that inspire. Her favorite medium combination is acrylic, vintage fashion magazines, inspirational words, and resin. When combined, these elements deliver a beautiful juxtaposition of textures, sense of empowerment, and captivating color to the viewer. Fashion across the decades is such a layered artform that draws inspiration from the current times in which the fashion was created. Kristin finds that repurposing these vintage fashion magazine clippings into vivid, reimagined art that weaves in messages of courage and comfort layered with our current dynamic and complicated times gives the viewer many thought provoking layers to immerse themselves in.
