About The Artwork
This painting is the result of a new process that I developed : a painting that comes out of the canvas. The dripping have a double meaning. They refer to both what they are : painting, the material that constitutes the pictorial representation. And at the same time, the drips maintains a poetic or humorous relationship with painting For this painting, I thought of the myth of Pygmalion and the popular sculptures in Brussels the Manneke Pis and the Jeanneke Pis.
