A definitely strong work, which symbolizes the challenges of love, especially in recent times. But as usual, I have an optimistic view about it. We know that loving is a continuous exercise of dedication to oneself and to others. It is not just a beautiful word: love requires work, as we can observe throughout our lives. The title of the work brings us to two situations: Quarantine in the sense of isolation and detachment, while Love brings us the idea of the need to be together, in any way, regardless of the circumstances. Through the contrast between the colors of strawberries, bananas and spots, there is the idea that even though life often puts us in difficult situations, we will always be somewhat (or very) close to those we love. The idea of a superior force that at the same time unites us - but that can also separate us - is represented by the "tear" that crosses the canvas. Painted with relief and details in golden color, the representation of the inevitability of a force greater than all of us is omnipresent. However, as a more attentive observer can perceive and relate, in the area where the strawberries are, the spots are yellow and where the bananas are, the spots are red. It is through this way of using colors that I demonstrate my initial idea that even though we are apart we are together! Another detail to note is that the spots go to the ends of the canvas. There is therefore a sense of infinity, something that I have worked on in my most recent paintings. Infinity that we see in Love, one of the few "things" that I believe are really possible to be infinite! Do not wait until later, love whenever possible. It will always be worth it, no matter how often it seems difficult or even impossible, only Love is capable of transforming lives and reverberating in eternity. Eric
