Queen Bee Painting

“If the bee disappeared off the face of the Earth, man would only have four years left to live.” You’ve probably seen this quote, usually attributed to Albert Einstein Apocalyptic figures of Earth with no flowers, no vegetables, fruits, trees…hence no good environment for any species to survive. And all this due to these little black and yellow insects? Did you know that an average bee lives ~ 30 days, never stops working, doesn’t take vacation days or complains from burnout, does not require mental health consultations to help her go through the busy days. They are doing what the instinct is telling them to do, without questioning what is the meaning of it and can life span be prolonged if workload reduces. An average bee produces 1 tablespoon of honey for their entire life. Only this? Is this a wasted life? How many of us, who are fortunate to live for so many years in good health, at the end of the days can look back and say - “here is my little tablespoon of honey which I’ve produced only to share with others?” What is our heritage - the one we don't look at as investment or wonder how it will benefit us while alive? What is the heritage we consciously work for only to share and leave to others, make this place better when we're gone? How often did we follow our instincts and we're doing only what we feel has to be done as there is something bigger than us and our little table spoon will have enormous effect on larger scale? Thinking of produce rather than consumption is not so easy, this little drops of honey multiplied by millions of blossoms are making the big differences and are keeping us alive! And who is the queen bee - the one who never went to the field but works the most creating next generations of Earth savers. Be like the bees, it only takes to be in harmony with everything that’s around and within you: exactly the way sunflowers, sun and bees are.
