The image of this perseverent woman links each painting. They tell us a story in a poetical way of falling and falling again, but never give up rising. Without the preliminary work, the stories of these mysterious women arise spontaneously. In her paintings Nina Trapaidze tries to take us back in time and to remember our hidden gardens, our most secret memories or our deepest feelings. Either way, we can also picture an ordinary woman in her paintings and appreciate how unique each woman is. *** "The different moments I have lived in life I entrust them to my paintings. Since my childhood my life has been tormented by stories of resistence, courage, suffering, acceptance, letting go, love and dream. I have "died" and been reborn many times. My life is shared between two distant countries between Georgia and France. I'm almost a repetition of my mother's courageuse life. So, there are this two women who stand out in my paintings. It is thanks to this soldier's journey that I became the person I am today and having the chance to be a painter and a lawyer at the same time. After all : "The generals triumph, the soldiers fall. "Seven times down, eight times up".
