Over the 60 years of paintings he has done, going back to third grade one thing that has intrigued him the most is color when arranged or orchestrated the right way can change your attitude. Next would be texture, and action or motion the way a painting flows etc. And this is what he has spent his life learning! Color affects us in many ways color harmony is an art in of itself. There are millions of colors in our spectrum I intend to explore them all! He never knows where a painting is going to go and is always excited to see how it's going to turn out. For him a good painting should be entertaining, mysterious, and beautiful. "I believe art can and should be the vehicle and catalyst to a world of your own imagination." Biography Allen was born in Alton, Illinois a Mississippi river town. This is where he started to develop his talent and passion for painting. He got his start by painting on signs, canvas, and t-shirts. He relocated to Minneapolis, MN. in 1976 The City of St. Paul used one of my paintings for their Christmas card in 1978.
