RELIEF Painting

I'm Martyna Wiacek, a hobbyist artist living in Waterford Ireland. I was born in Poland. Since 2013 I'm living and working in Ireland. Painting has been my first love for as long as I can remember. As a kid I do vividly remember thinking how wonderful it would be to hand paint characters in Disney films... I think I've found a way to satisfy that dream in my own unique way. My biggest wish is to give up corporate work to fully pursue my career in art... I've never liked to explain a certain piece of work - if you've made a picture and that's how you wanted it to be - hopefully it can speak for itself and whatever it says to the viewer - it's the right message because there isn't a wrong and a right message. Each person takes something a little different from the same picture and I'm happy with that... I love exploring the complexity of human experience. Creating art is a way of exploring the parts of life that are intangible and can't be quantified. There is a unique intimacy of our thoughts and emotions, and a certain mystery to chemistry, desire, identity, and influence. I am fascinated by personal narratives, the stories of our lives. I believe everyone not only has a unique story, but also has specific talents and abilities and wisdom from their personal experiences. Each day we interact in relationships, those influences continually change us and evolve us. These are the thoughts that inspire and drive my work. I like to use a palette of confident, expressive colours. My paintings are inspired by human nature, emotions, sensual experiences and moods...
