ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I was inspired by the theory of REM dreaming. During sleep, the brain moves through different stages. One of these stages is rapid eye movement (REM) sleep. During this phase, the eyes move rapidly in various directions. Most dreams occur during REM sleep, and it is thought to play a role in learning, memory, and mood. REM sleep is often associated with very vivid dreams due to the increase in brain activity. I decided to depict three women´s figures situated in an imaginary country.
