ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Years ago I was given the opportunity to crew on a racing sailboat for several seasons. Those who have been fortunate enough to experience this, understand that a yacht race begins at full speed, without crossing the start line before the gun sounds. This makes it a race even before the race begins. This painting has a very heavy texture, which I hope brings even more drama. The painting is mounted in floating frame. The overall size including frame is 17” X 41”. The frame is 1/4” thick X 2-1/2” wide, solid maple in a natural finish sealed with lacquer. The frame was hand crafted by the artist.

It is a remnant of the last ice age, with a rocky/ hilly north shore and a sandy flat south shore (Atlantic Ocean).
