My name is Jie Song and I'm a new artist from China. I’m an online Mandarin tutor as well. I had my first contact with oil painting in February 2017 in an art salon, and I never stopped painting ever since. I strongly realized painting is my calling and I believe in myself that I can paint and I can do it beautifully in my own way. Before this, I had little watercolor painting experience in high school. Unlike most artists on Saatchiart I don’t have any professional education background in Arts, but I am sure we have some things in common is that we are passionate about painting, we can create something from nothing, and we’d like to leave our mark on the world. I had tremendous progress in the past half year and I am still improving every day.
