ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Inspired by the intricate patterns on the snake plant leaves and its colours , this painting is a little different from my usual style. Snake plant was the first plant I ever took care of and it inspired me to create and express more through my art. The curves, arches and negative spaces are inclined more towards art deco. This painting to me is the perfect amalgamation of my minimal abstract aesthetic with a hint of art deco. It was a conscious choice to keep a monotone colour palette, that way the artwork catches the eye without overpowering the different shapes and composition.
