Roses require a deep watering to encourage their roots to grow deep into the soil so they will be insulated from the extreme summer heat. People, too, need to experience a continual deep interior nourishment for their souls to avoid a death of sorts when the extremities of life take their toll. Like a rose, a person also has layers that need to be peeled away before we are able to see what is at their centre, in the heart of them. However, as we grow older, this is what we want, we want to live in a garden/ world - a world of our own, where we can be alone outside, but also move freely, without hassle, wherever we want, it’s up to us to decide.
