Red Head Painting

Glass painting. Ceramic powder on glass. Technical information - Each piece is made on a 6 mm, extra clear, edge-polished glass. Back-painted with Ferro's special ceramic powder, which is suited for glass and contains gold. Once the painting process is done, the glass begins an overnight firing process at a high temperature in a kiln. During this procedure, the colors become integral with the glass and highly durable. Costume-made brass hardware was designed especially for these artworks. The whiteness of the wall behind is a crucial participant in the painting - which gives the painting a floating sensation. In cases of a darker wall - a back painted white sealing (only on the back of the form) can be applied.
