ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting is one of my latest. There is a hidden depth in the piece: on the surface, the viewer dwells on that pale mint green & rippling texture, but ones eye wanders into the depth at the background, what can one see? Graffiti, rocks, the sea? Ambiguity hangs over the piece, the uncertainty of texture and layers. What am I looking at? The overall green & white tones makes the piece bright & modern, with a monumentality in its texture. It is a conversation starter. Surfaces with shifting colors and marks, random or intentional, carry a visual and poetic resonance in my paintings. The painting needs no frame, cords or wires. It is ready to hang on any wall. I would advise two strong wall hooks/nails & hang piece directly onto those.
