ABOUT THE ARTWORK

These fine art seascape are an original watercolor painting, not a print. Watercolor painted by professional watercolor paints on watercolor paper archival quality Saunders Waterford (cold press, 300 g/m). The sea surface of the water is a real miracle, because the movement does not stop for a minute and the pattern of reflections is constantly changing. It is best seen at dawn and before sunset. I love watching it and always want to stop the moment. That's why I'm inspired by the sea and draw waves with reflections of boats. I admire it and hope you feel the same way looking at this picture. Watercolor is not framed. A Certificate of Authenticity comes with the watercolor signed by Svetlana Lileeva.

My name is Svetlana, I was born and live in Russia, in Moscow, I am a watercolor artist. I started drawing at an early age because I loved it and wanted to learn how to depict what surrounds me most believably in a realistic manner. At first I took lessons from artists, later I studied at an art school. As an adult, I began to travel the world-Russia, the former Soviet Union, Europe, Asia. Museums with paintings of great masters, beautiful modern and ancient cities with their own flavor, atmosphere, architecture and culture became available to me. All this inspired me earlier and inspires me today. But the greatest impression on me is made by nature, its diversity and uniqueness of each place and moment. I spent several years of my life in Europe and Asia, traveling through the snowy and summer Alps, climbing the volcanoes of Indonesia, snorkeling and swimming with amazing fish in the Indian ocean, with stingrays and sharks, walking around the Golden stupas in Myanmar, sailing on small boats around the Islands of Thailand, on large yachts between the Maldives, admired the magnificent harsh and beautiful nature of Scotland, went to the Isle of Skye to see the rugged mountains. All this fills me with feelings so much that I want to capture for myself every species, every tropical flower and every leaf on the tree near my home in Russia. Therefore, I paint what I saw and see beautiful around me and this allows me not only to stop time for myself and save my impressions, but also to share them with other people, selling my paintings. When I sell my watercolor paintings, buyers tell me many words of gratitude that my paintings fill their home with beauty, warmth, joy, some give beautiful memories of their travels. All this makes me happy.
