About The Artwork
The idea behind this painting was to create a very strong source of light reflections on top of the deep blue sea surface. A view that a sailing man sees from his boat on a beautiful sunny day. If I could describe this painting with only one word it would be ,,contrast”. My main focus was to create an atmosphere between scary deep waters and a calm sea on a beautiful day inviting you to take a dip. • Prepared to be ready to hang, oil painting on canvas. My name is Nina Albiniova. Born and raised in Slovakia but about 6 years ago I moved to the beautiful city of Milan in Italy. Growing up at an 8 hours drive from the nearest sea, I had always wondered what it would be like to look at the horizon and see nothing but water as far you can see. Often, the things furthest away amaze us most. My inspiration comes from water as a whole. I just love looking at the sea and being in or near the water. The connection I have with the sea is for me something I don’t experience with anything else. The sea has infinite amount of moods, shapes and faces that amaze me. I feel like there is so much I want to express and tell by painting this specific subject. I try to translate my feelings into my paintings and offer the viewer an unique experience. Calling out his/her memories or simply transport them to being at the sea in the moment -almost being able to smell the salty air.
