Partial persistence of a phenomenon after disappearance of its cause, the transformations in time of the same place appear as simultaneous in places making the transitions visible. I wanted to transcribe the spirit of a daguerreotype to which we would have added color. Like a silver photo removed from the revealing bath prematurely, areas are underexposed, they contribute to the veiled effect that covers the entire canvas. Everything is bathed in a dying or emerging light from nowhere, giving the landscape elements a mysterious dimension.
