Revived Painting

Ruhi Dularey is a Pune, India based Self taught Painter/Artist, whose love for art began from her childhood. Her main forte lies in Abstract and Portraits. Starting her art journey with sketching and mastering the skill of using graphite and charcoal, she wanted to incorporate more colour in her work. Now, she is working mainly with mixed media : Acrylics and Oil paints, along with Modelling Paste, Gesso, Chalk, Paper-waste, Plaster, Charcoal and Oil Pastels. Using Canvas boards, sheets and stretched canvases as her main surface. Her palette consists of a symphony of hues, mainly working in the area of very vivid, warm colours. In her artworks, she incorporates a variety of mediums. She believes in recycling and practice it herself while creating her artworks. All her mixed media artworks are a culmination of paper waste, plastic waste from packaging, old dried wood, leaves from her garden, wool and unused cloth material. Each artwork has its own course of planning. Some artworks have taken weeks of planning, whilst some were created with the spark of one idea and then just following through with it. "I wish to invite my audience to experience contemplation, interaction and hope to invoke deep emotions within them, whilst I, as an artist, continue to evolve and push boundaries of conventionality."
