"Rhino White Magic" Painting

Inspired by the sacred rhino! As a contemporary Artist and Naturopath I have a strong affinity with nature, animals and now especially the rhino. Not only do I paint animals, but I heal them using natural methods. Recently the Black and White Rhinos have been my focus of attention and I cringe at the thought that any human could even consider harming this passive animal (with poor eyesight)...let alone hunt them down for monetary gains. I have always been interested in the spiritual meanings of animals. These meanings have evolved over thousands of years from different cultures. Here is the Spiritual meaning of the Rhino and how it can help you when you have it in your thoughts and presence and on your wall. "Experiment with doing things on your own. Dr Steven Farmer And so with this particular painting, acrylic on canvas, it evolved purely out of the love of a particular animal, the white rhino. The White Rhino has a square lip which gives it also a square shaped jaw. I've brought colour into the skin to highlight the strength of it's musculature in the legs, shoulders and torso. The tusks have also been highlighted in earthy tones with gold metallic highlights. The foreground is a rich, earthy toned abstracted grassland. The sky is also an earthy colour. Rhinos are known to have thick tough skin and have no predators (except for mankind). One of the reasons I do not promote Chinese herbal medicine (only western herbal medicine) is because wealthy poachers shoot the rhino for their horns which are ground up into Asian herbal medicines, completely unnecessary! The passive rhino is a gentle animal, yet strong, resilient and very protective. A signed "Certificate of Authenticity" by the Artist is included.
